LEGACY HORSE TRANSPORT - CONTRACT OF CARRIAGE (SUMMARY)

1. LIABILITY LIMITATION: Our liability is limited to $2,000 per incident, maximum $5,000 per year as permitted by law.

2. INSURANCE REQUIREMENT: You must maintain comprehensive insurance for your horses for their full value during transport. We are not responsible if you don't have adequate insurance.

3. PAYMENT TERMS:

• New clients: Payment required before transport commences
• Account clients: Payment due by 20th of following month
• Overdue payments: 12% annual interest plus collection costs

4. CLAIMS NOTIFICATION:

• Damage claims: Must notify within 14 days of delivery
• Non-delivery claims: Must notify within 3 months
• Other claims: Must notify within 6 months

5. CANCELLATION: 24 hours notice required or 50% charge applies.

6. ACCESS & ASSISTANCE: You must provide safe, free access to pickup/delivery sites and reasonable assistance.

7. DELIVERY TIMING: We use best efforts for estimated times but delivery times are not guaranteed.

8. FORCE MAJEURE: We're not liable for delays due to events beyond our control (weather, road closures, etc.).

9. HORSE WELFARE: Horses must be fit for transport. You warrant compliance with all laws regarding horse transport.

10. EQUIPMENT TRANSPORT: Any additional equipment (gear, feed) transported at your risk.
